Jenny Faw has been a surface designer since she was old enough to hold a pencil. As a child, she covered every empty surface with doodles and as she grew up started creating colorful, whimsical textile designs and watercolor illustrations. Her “Freestyle Watercolor” method features a loose technique, unique color combinations, bold brush strokes, flora, fauna, and creatures that don’t necessarily exist in nature! Her work is expressed in joyful bursts of color. Jenny’s mantra is “Give me a surface, I will make it beautiful.” Jenny creates artwork and designs products for people of all ages and tastes. Inspired by her background in surface design, she creates collections rich with complex patterns, coordinating artwork, and decorative prints. People can decorate their homes with it, wear her artwork, gift it to friends, and more. Jenny has a lengthy career creating and producing products for the home furnishings, gift and stationery, and infant and children’s markets. Jenny works in a lovely “Princess Shed” on the National Seashore in Cape Cod with her black lab muse “Nyx” at her feet. She is inspired by the nature around her and loves to teach watercolor workshops. Jenny shares that “Inspiring and empowering others is food for my soul…seeing people enjoy my work brings me great joy.”
